Plain English summary: BluCruise uses almost no cookies. Your trip planning data is stored in your browser's localStorage (device-only, we never see it). We load Google Fonts from Google's CDN, which may set a cookie. When you click affiliate links to book excursions, flights or cruises, those providers' own cookies may be set. You can manage all preferences using the button below.

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit. They are used to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and help website operators understand how their sites are used.
Cookies are stored in your browser and can be read by the website (or third parties) that set them. You can view and delete cookies through your browser settings.
2. Local Storage vs Cookies
BluCruise primarily uses browser localStorage rather than traditional cookies. localStorage is similar to cookies but:
- It is never transmitted to any server — it stays on your device only
- It has no expiry date (persists until you clear browser data)
- It cannot be read by third parties, only by blucruise.com
- It is not covered by the same legal framework as cookies in all jurisdictions, but we treat it with the same transparency standards
3. Cookies & Storage We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary (localStorage)
These are set automatically and cannot be disabled, as the site would not function without them:

Always on These items cannot be disabled, as they are essential for the site to function correctly.
3.2 Analytics (Optional)
BluCruise does not currently use any analytics cookies or tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or similar service is installed on this site. If this changes in future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested.
3.3 Marketing & Personalisation (Optional)
BluCruise does not serve advertising and does not use marketing cookies directly. However, when you click affiliate links to our partners (Viator, CruiseDirect, Kiwi.com, etc.), those partners' own cookies may be set to attribute your booking to BluCruise. This is how affiliate tracking works. You can review each partner's cookie policy via the links in our Privacy Policy.

5. Managing Your Preferences
You can manage your cookie and storage preferences in several ways:
5.1 BluCruise consent banner
Use the Manage preferences button at the top of this page (or the banner that appears on your first visit) to choose which categories of cookies you accept. Your choice is saved in bc_cookie_consent in your browser's localStorage.
5.2 Browser settings
You can delete cookies and localStorage data through your browser's settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search and services → Clear browsing data
Note: clearing your browser data will also remove your saved trip information from My Trip.
5.3 Opt out of analytics
BluCruise does not use analytics cookies. If this changes, opt-out instructions will be added here.
